Wheel Hub.txt

It takes multiple function parts to ensure your caddie is operating at full potential. That includes all the ins and outs of the suspension and wheel assembly. Buggies Unlimited is your source of all golf cart parts and accessories, including EZGO Hub and Spindle Replacement Parts. It's in this category you will find everything you need to keep your carriage driving smooth.

A golf cart spindle is a portion of the suspension system. For example, the unit connects to the control arms while supporting the wheel hub. In other words, you could call this component a wheel bearing housing or a knuckle. They are more or less the same thing.

In addition to EZGO spindles, Buggies Unlimited has a vast supply of front wheel hubs. A golf cart wheel hub is responsible for keeping the wheel attached to the carriage. It plays a massive role in steering, especially while cornering or turning. Suppose you need both the spindle and the hub. No problem! Buggies Unlimited also has the EZGO passenger and driverside spindle and hub kits.

Do away with the torch and buying a puller! Here is what I did. Take off the wheel and the castle nut and spray with PB Blaster. Let soak 15-30 minutes or so. Do not put the castle nut back on, but put the wheel and lugs back on. With the cart still lifted on the one side, beat the back side of the tire with a rubber mallet several times and it should come loose.

I tried everything mentioned here - a few different penetrating oils (including PB Blaster), a hub puller with center push screw, a hub puller with a slide hammer, a torch, a regular hammer, putting the wheel back on and beating it. Didn't get even a tiny wiggle. Finally took the angle grinder to it and made mincemeat of the whole thing. It did come off, but I nicked up the axle in the process, so I get to replace that, too.

@jthawthorne , John, You want to remove a stuck on brake drum correct! When they are stubborn like this, remove cotter key and castle nut, make sure park brake is fully off, some times there will be a ridge on the drum from wear and you must locate the adjuster and turn adjuster star wheel to release/decrease brake expansion allowing more play for drum to slip over worn ridge on drum. Spray spline liberally with a good penatrent oil. Hit drum with heavy hammer hard multiple times on the face edge of drum, this will normally send a good vibration to release drum from axle. Still not releasing the next step would be to heat drum at hub till almost red hot and then hammer off. If it is still not budging, time to bite the bullet. Get out the angle grinder with cutting wheel, cut 2 slot in the drums hub perpendicular/across to each other, cut almost to the axle spline(stop before damaging axle), then with a heavy hammer and cold chisel, place chisel in cut slot and hit solidly rotate to other cut slot in drum hub and repeat. This will spread/crack the hub from axle spline after a few tries, allow hub to come off. Now of course that means time for new hub $40-$50. Anti seize spline before putting drum back on. Good luck.

Golf carts require the use of high-quality wheels that grip the ground and help you ride smoothly. The main differences between different tires and wheels are the diameter and the width of the side walls. For example, some wheels are 10-14 inches in diameter. The side wall of a tire varies in width from 3-6 inches or so.

The difference between wheels and tires for carts also depend on the type of material used to build them. Most are built out of rubber with a metal rim. However, some wheels may be created with a synthetic alternative. The model may also vary depending on the kit used to install it on your cart.

Improving your steering with new hub adapters is a good idea if you own a golf cart. These items attach to your wheels and help them move more smoothly. For example, Yamaha G1 models from 1983 to 1989 typically possess the same kind of steering hubs. Most should be adaptable to other years and other types of Yamaha carts.

With PEP 621 removingthe need for setup.cfg, one might expect that the oldersetup.py could be removed too. However, setuptools still required this file for some features towork, including editable installs. With PEP 660, the Pythoncommunity standardised a way to use wheel files to create editableinstalls, and therefore the use of setup.py is no longerrequired. However, this feature was only recently implemented inpip, so users may need to upgrade if they wish to use thisfeature: 041b061a72
